Advanced Rail Safety Enhancements Across 57 Sites

The Transit TCGCS Upgrades project in the Greater Toronto Area, with a value of $7,500,000, focused on upgrading 57 sites to meet the latest Transport Canada Grade Crossing Standards. The project included comprehensive crossing assessments, design-build of regulatory and customer-requested upgrades, and relocation of over 30 warning devices, including cantilevers. Additionally, 12 “turn-key” crossing bungalows and additional warning lights at more than 15 locations were supplied and installed. The project also involved rigorous testing and commissioning to ensure compliance with TCGCS and Metrolinx standards.
