Pioneering Track Infrastructure
The Richardson Canola Crush Plant project in Yorkton, SK, valued at $8,400,000 was a comprehensive track construction project. It included the supply and distribution of essential materials for a robust and efficient upgrade. The scope featured the construction of 35,000 track feet of concrete tie track, meticulously configured into a three-loop system to optimize the flow of canola products. Additionally, 13,500 track feet of wood and concrete track were constructed to facilitate yard expansion, accommodating increased operational needs. The project also saw the installation of 32 turnouts in various sizes (#8, #9, and #10), ensuring smooth transitions and operational flexibility across the expanded yard. This upgrade was instrumental in enhancing the plant’s capacity and efficiency, supporting its growth and operational demands.
