Transforming Rail Infrastructure
This large mining rail project located in Jansen, SK, and valued at close to $50,000,000, involved a significant expansion of the rail infrastructure. The project included the construction of over 100,000 track feet of wood track and 1,000 track feet of embedded track. A total of 2,600 Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) welds were completed to ensure the durability and reliability of the rail system. The installation work featured 12 #10, 4 #10, and 2 #15 turnouts, critical for efficient rail operations. Additionally, 68,000 cubic meters of railway ballast were supplied and distributed to provide proper track support and stability, along with 18 road crossings were also supplied and installed to facilitate safe and smooth transportation. The project further included various additional components such as fencing, signage, and other materials, all contributing to the overall enhancement of the mining site’s rail infrastructure and operational capacity.
